Flyff Piercing
Piercing allows you to enhance your Attack, Defense, HP, FP and/or MP by adding cards into armor suits (maximum of 4 slots).
Piercing weapons/shields (maximum of 10 slots) allow enhancement of a different variant of stats: Str, Sta, Dex, Int, Attack Speed. Each of these (with the exception of sta increasing cards) also provide a secondary stat bonus.
To pierce equipment you have to go any [Weapon] NPC which can each be found in Flaris, Saint Morning and Darkon.
- Click on the NPC.
- Select Piercing.
- Drag the suit/weapon/shield you wish to pierce into the appropriate slot.
- Drag a Moonstone into the appropriate slot.
- Drag a Scroll of GProtect into the appropriate slot (optional step, can be omitted) (advisable to prevent possible destruction of the equipment piece).
Each successful piercing yields an extra slot (up to 4 slots on suits and 10 slots on weapons/shields) which can then be filled with a card. The types of cards used to socket suits differ from those used to socket weapons and shields. The success rate of piercing decreases as the number of slots increase. Suits are destroyed if the piercing fails. Destruction of equipment can be prevented by using a Scroll of GProtect; a Premium Item which is available from the Cash Shop. They protect the equipment piece from destruction if the upgrading attempt fails, but they are consumed regardless of whether or not the upgrading succeeds.
Socketed cards can be removed from pierced weapons, shields, and armor by visiting (Upgrade Specialist)BoBoChan in Flaris; right next to the weapon, shield, and shield 2 shops. It costs 1,000,000 Penya each time and removes the most recently added card. The card is lost permanently, the upgrades it gave are removed, but the socket is opened up so you can add another card. There is no failure or break chance while removing socketed cards.
